Prior to my return to Madrid, I used to live in a huge maisonette in Bushey Arches, opposite a beautifully mysterious park. Whenever I walked under the arches, I would always get a sense that I was crossing a border into an altogether different place: Watford.
Watford may come across as not beeing too glamourous or interesting. However, its high street is almost permanently buzzing with people shopping or just strolling. I´m not particularly keen on shopping malls, but the Harlequin Centre has an amazing aquatic park and swimming-pool within its facilities which brings back fond memories.
