Bradwell is a nice peaceful place and everywhere you go the scenery is wonderful. I would recomend visiting here.

Chloe, Southwick

the old name was Bradwell Juxta Mare which translates to Bradwell next the sea.The river estuary is to the north of the village whereas the north sea is 1.25 miles to the east of the village. Not much of a misnomer.

Bradwell on Sea Village Hall offers off-street parking for visitors. It is an an attractive, spacious, and well maintained hall for hire by the public.

Bigger question is, where was the shore line when village/settlement was founded? An amazing number of "ports" are well inland today due to sedimentation.
