We are in our 60's and did the walk as described in July 2010. It was great fun and easy to follow thanks to the itinerary. We had a packed lunch on route, used the facilities at Birling Gap and had a drink at the pub in Exceat before catching the bus back to Eastbourne. The walk took us about four and a half hours including a half hour stop. We recommend it to anyone wanting an excellent day out.

Thank you very much for your post. I used the information yesterday to walk from Eastbourne to Esceat and it all went without any problems. It took me about four and a half hours not counting the trip back from Esceat. An excellent day out - thanks again!
