I just want to make a compliment for these beautiful photographs. I was reading in C. Barrett's Essex: Highways, Byways and Waterways, 1892, which gives a splendid etching of such barges, pictured more than 100 years ago (opposite page 25) and I was surprised to find a striking resemblance between this old picture and your modern photograph.
