The decoration of the Bedroom has a biblical theme which includes the chimneypiece. The Fireplace has a gilded bronze statue of St John the Evangelist which was designed by Burges and made by the Italian sculptor Fucigna.

The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a carved walnut screen on the right, which on one side is inset with sixty different types of marble, each in its own frame, with the name of each variety incised in gold. There are more framed marble pieces on the right-hand wall.
