At the eastern end of Cloth Fair is a small group of medieval streets such as East Passage shown here.

Running parallel to East Passage but south of it is Middle Street another rather narrow medieval street.

South of Middle Street is Newbury Street and on the corner is this sundial fixed to a bricked up window. That bricked up window probably stems from the Window Tax which was in force during the 18th and 19th centuries.
