Kew Gardens (11), London, England

There is a high level walkway around the central dome of the Palm House which can be accessed via a spiral staircase only.
You can see from this picture just how high it looks. Its actual height is 30 feet which doesn't sound very much but it looks a lot when you are up there.

The top of the spiral stairs. There are two stairways, one at each end of the central dome and one is used for going up and the other for coming down. This saves people trying to pass each other on the stairs.

Looking along one section of the walkway. There is enough room, just, for people to pass.
You do get a completely different view of the trees from this height.

Looking through the glass from the walkway gives an impressive view over the flower beds and lake.

This shows a very tall palm which is now actually touching the inside of the roof. The lower part of the tree is visible only down to walkway height so that there must be another 30 feet of tree below that.
