This is the interior of St James's Church, Piccadilly, also known as St James's Church, Westminster, and St James-in-the-Fields and was designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren.

The nave has a barrel vault supported by Corinthian columns.

A little south of Piccadilly and running parallel with it is Pall Mall. The Royal Opera Arcade consists of a covered walk some twelve feet wide, parallel with the Haymarket and extending between Pall Mall and Charles II Street.

The Royal Opera Arcade was completed in 1818 and is the world's oldest existing shopping arcade.
