Raglan Castle (2), Monmouthshire.

Raglan Castle is unusual in that it has a moat inside the castle. Now that may seem counter-productive but although the moat is within the castle's outer defences it completely surrounds the keep or Great Tower which means that should the outer defences be breached the occupants can retreat within the keep which is much more easily defended.
