The County of Nottinghamshire

Nottinghamshire is famous for its connection with the legend of Robin Hood including places such as Sherwood Forest, City of Nottingham and the surrounding villages in Sherwood Forest. Southwell is probably the most picturesque town in Nottinghamshire with Southwell Minster only a stones throw from the narrow streets of the town centre.
Nottinghamshire lies on the Roman Fosse Way and there were Roman settlements in the county.
