Thames Sailing Barges, Hythe Quay, Maldon, Essex, England
There are normally seven Thames Sailing Barges based at Maldon. However, although 'Reminder' in this picture is one of the resident barges, 'Ethel Ada' is actually a visting barge.
Reminder was built in 1929, is 85 feet long with a 20 foot beam and normally carries 12 passengers on mostly weekend trips. All trips must be booked in advance.

'Hydrogen', a Thames Sailing Barge, was built in 1906, is 96 feet long with a 25 foot beam and will carry up to 50 passengers on, mostly, day trips.
This is the largest wooden barge still sailing.
All trips must be booked in advance.
