Church of St. Nicholas, Castle Hedingham, Essex, England

Castle Hedingham, Essex.
The Church of St. Nicholas has a rare Double Hammer-beam roof; one of only about 25 in the whole country and one of only 3 in Essex. Note the elegant Norman arches bordering the nave.
The Norman Wheel window, one of only 5 surviving, can easily be seen in the end wall and just below is the 15th Century rood screen. The carvings on the screen are of animals and people.
