Chatsworth House near Bakewell, Derbyshire Peak District, England
×
Chatsworth House, Baslow, Derbyshire Peak District.
The River Derwent runs through the grounds which were landscaped by the 4th Duke, during the 18th century, who engaged 'Capability' Brown to redesign the formal garden into the more natural one you see today. The gardens are very large and take hours to explore fully.
The house and gardens have changed little since the 6th Duke's time and are open to the public.
