This rather fine thatched house is situated in the Green which is a street running from the top of Cheap Street up to Greenhill. The stone building with a timber-framed building next to it in the distance is, in fact, one building which was the 16th century Inn of St. Julian.

This raised pavement and row of 17th century terraced houses is in Greenhill. Greenhill is the name of this road in Sherborne.

The Manor House dates from around the 15th or 16th century although it was never actually a Manor House. It is believed that the name Manor House was falsely attributed by the misuse of headed note-paper by a previous occupant.

George Street is accessed at one end through this archway at the junction of Higher Cheap Street and the Green but there is a 'normal' junction at the other end where it joins the north-east end of Greenhill.
