Hampton Court Castle Gardens (2), Hope under Dinmore, Herefordshire, England

In the Sunken Garden the path winds around the pond and ends at the wooden construction seen opposite the camera. The waterfall is seen on the right and the black area behind the criss-cross fence is the entrance to the Gothic Tower tunnel.

The passage that goes behind the waterfall, as shown here, has its entrance immediately to the right of the Gothic Tower Tunnel and can be seen in the picture above as a dark slit immediately to the right of the wooden structure.

The Gothic Tower Tunnel is much larger, but unlit, and on our first visit we felt our way through the dark. On our second visit I used my smartphone as a torch which made it much easier. This picture was taken using flash.

The Gothic Tower in the centre of the maze seen from ground level. The open doorway gives access to steps up to the top of the tower and down to the tunnel.
You could, instead of using the tunnel, try and find your way through the maze.

The view from the top of the Gothic Tower looking across to the castle. Part of the maze which surrounds the tower is visible below and the roof of one of the Island Pavilions is easily spotted and the roof of the other pavilion is just visible.
