Hampton Court Castle Gardens (1), Hope under Dinmore, Herefordshire, England

Each side of the pond, in the Dutch Garden, are some small trees some of which are Portuguese Laurels (the lollipop shaped ones) and the others we think may be Fastigiate Yews (the cylindrical ones). The blue flowers in the pots are Agapanthus.
What a really pretty and tranquil scene.

There are two island pavilions in the water garden and this shows one from inside the other with part of the canal between the two. There are further stretches of canal, one behind the camera and one beyond the further pavilion.

One of the Island Pavilions in the water garden with the Gothic Tower in the Yew Maze showing above the hedges. There is actually one person showing above the parapet of the tower.

Cascading stone steps take you down to the Sunken Garden and, if you go through the very dark tunnel, you will arrive at the Gothic Tower at the centre of the maze without getting lost.
