There are 4 council run car parks, 2 short stay and 2 long stay, for which you will have to pay an excessive charge. Long-Stay car parks are charged at £1 per hour with a maximum charge of £4 and Short-Stay car parks are 60p per hour with a maximum stay of 2 hours. It seemed to me that if there is somewhere to park in North Norfolk then the council will charge you heavily for it.

There may be places in Sheringham where you can park for free but I don't know of any personally. There are, for example, a good number of parking spaces in Wells-next-the-Sea, further along the coast, which are free although the council provided car parks are chargeable.
