Poppies, Weybourne, Norfolk, England, Great Britain
Weybourne, Norfolk.

Still on the road between Weybourne Station and the village we saw this view of the village showing the mill on the horizon. The flowers in the foreground are the red Corn Poppies (Papaver rhoeas) that give the Poppy Line it's name.

Weybourne is a small, quiet village about three and a half miles west of Sheringham.

Weybourne, Norfolk, England, Great Britain
Weybourne, Norfolk.

This view in the village is on the road from Weybourne Station and shows the church tower. There is some nice typical Norfolk flint work in the building on the left and you will notice that the buildings on the right also show flint work.

There is a small lane that leads to the beach and there is a car park at the end for which you have to pay.

Weybourne Mill, Weybourne, Norfolk, England, Great Britain
Weybourne, Norfolk.

Weybourne Tower Mill built in 1850 and was restored in the 1920s when all the machinery was removed except the windshaft on which the sails rotate. So it is no longer a working mill but, at the time of writing (2006), the current owners offer bed and breakfast.
