Onny Meadows, Craven Arms, Shropshire

In a shallow part of the River Onny we spotted these fish fry (young fish) in their hundreds and a movement on our part caused sudden flurries as they moved in unison and then settled down again. These fish may be Minnows but we can't say with any certainty but they are fascinating to watch.

A view of the local countryside from the riverside path looking roughly south. The wooded hill on the left is part of Norton Camp Wood with the Norton Camp Hill Fort on top.

One of the surfaced paths, suitable for wheelchairs, in Onny Meadows. This is part of the walk to Stokesay Castle but only part of it is suitable for wheelchairs

A small wood in Onny Meadows. There is 30 acres of meadows here so you won't run out of space anytime soon. There is a lot to explore.
