One of the passages built into the walls of the Keep. This passage was not part of the original Keep but was cut through the wall in the 16th century to form a short cut from one part of the castle to another.

Another view of the interior of the Keep on the same level as that of the Great Hall. The holes in the wall below the archways would have been for the floor joists.
The archways with the metal railings across them open into the passage shown in the picture immediately above.
