The Saloon was built as part of modifications in the 18th century. On the left-hand edge of the picture is the mid 17th century ebony Antwerp cabinet, inlaid with ivory and red tortoiseshell - an amazing piece of furniture.

The Drawing Room. One thing that one does notice here is the vibrant wallpaper and not just in this room. Apparently the family spent the modern-day equivalent of £16,740 on wallpaper in 1883.
